The Collector's Journey

...because coins are a beautiful glimpse into our history

More than twenty years ago, I picked up my first coin. At the time, it was an investment consideration – I was looking for a way to grow my savings better than through stocks, mutual funds, or real estate. However, I soon discovered that coins are not just metal with value, but beautiful carriers of history that can tell their own story.

Gradually, the investment turned into a passion. I began studying coinage, particularly Czech historical coins, which I collect and systematically analyse. Each piece represents for me a combination of history, artistic craftsmanship, and investment potential.

I spent a significant part of my professional life in the field of financial risk management. It was precisely this experience that taught me precision, systematic thinking, and the ability to evaluate things not only by first impression, but also in a broader context.

This is also reflected in my numismatic work – from the careful examination of a coin's details to its objective valuation.

The year 2025 marked a significant step forward for me. I became a member of the Czech Numismatic Society in Příbram and participated for the first time in the Summer School of Numismatics in Olomouc. At the same time, I began studying art history and collecting at the Rudolfinian Academy at the Czech Association of Antique Dealers.

Combining theoretical study with practical exploration of the numismatic world opened new perspectives for me. It confirmed that coin collecting is not only a fascinating path to understanding the past, but also a way to preserve value long-term and build investment potential.

This year showed me that every new step opens another horizon — and I look forward to where this journey will take me next.

Yours, Milan...>;o)
