The obverse of the coin features a banner bearing the emblem of the Czechoslovak Legions, as used at their recruitment centres. Below the banner is the denomination with the currency abbreviation "200 Kč".
Along the left and bottom edge of the coin is the name of the state "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA". The coin was struck by the Czech Mint; its mark, consisting of a composition of the letters "Č" and "M", is to the left of the banner.
The reverse of the coin depicts the figures of four legionnaires – on the left is a Russian legionnaire, in the front a French one, behind him an Italian one, and at the back a Serbian legionnaire. Along the left, bottom, and right edges of the coin is the inscription "VZNIK ČESKOSLOVENSKÝCH LEGIÍ" (Founding of the Czechoslovak Legions).
Below the depiction of the French legionnaire are the years "1914 ▫ 2014". The designer of the coin is Luboš Charvát. His initials, consisting of the interconnected letters "LCH", are along the right edge of the coin below the depiction of a rifle bayonet.
