The obverse of the coin depicts a steam engine constructed by Josef Božek. Along the upper left edge of the coin is the name of the state "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA". The denomination with the currency abbreviation "200 Kč" is along the right edge of the coin. The name of the state and the denomination are delimited by dots at the beginning and at the end.
The Czech Mint mark, consisting of a composition of the letters "Č" and "M", is along the bottom edge of the coin. Above the Czech Mint mark are the initials of the obverse designer, academic sculptor Zbyněk Fojtů, consisting of the conjoined letters "FZ".
The reverse of the two-hundred-crown coin features a portrait of Josef Božek. Along the left edge of the coin is the inscription "PŘEDSTAVENÍ PAROVOZU" (Presentation of the Steam Engine) and along the right edge the inscription "JOSEF BOŽEK" and the years "1815 – 2015".
To the right of the collar on the portrait are the initials of the reverse designer MgA. Martin Dašek, consisting of the letters "M" and "D".
Each coin is supplied with a light green catalogue card featuring a description of the coin and its embossed depiction.
